What does a Silver Series charger do?

The Silver series chargers will charge and maintain the battery, but will also test it to make sure it gets the care it needs, and have the ability to SAVE discharged, sulphated batteries.

Is the charger easy to use?

Yes, just connect to the battery and everything else is 100% automatic.

Do I need to know the voltage of my battery?

Our SILVER series chargers are ideal for 12V batteries, so check before charging - you can find it on the battery.

Can a Silver series charger stay on my battery for a long time?

Yes, the specific OptiMate maintenance program will safely keep your battery charged and maintained at 100% for as long as you keep it connected to the battery.

Are the battery connection cables included in the box?

Yes, all OptiMate chargers have 2 different high quality battery cables included in the box, a lead cable for permanent connection and a crocodile clips cable for bench or emergency charging.

What is temperature compensated charging?

When charging, the voltage is adjusted higher when colder and lower when hotter. Charging needs to be temperature compensated to improve battery care.
